Server Migration
I'm migrating to a new host and also decided to upgrade to Gallery V2 (Database baby!). Let me know if you spot any issues. I would have posted pictures of the sweet 4-day, 26 mile backpacking trip Cynthia and I took to Henry W. Coe park last weekend, but I forgot the camera memory card. You'll just have to trust me.

Camping at Bodega
We went camping to Bodega bay over the weekend, and infants nearly outnumbered adults. See the pics Dave posted here. (That's two enties in 8 days for those who claim updates are too infrequent).

    We've been having fun this summer . . . .

In May, my Aunt Mary Louise came to visit, and we spent a few .great days in Yosemite right after they had to close the park for flooding. . . there was a more water than I'd ever seen there.

In June, We went on an overnight backpacking trip to Point Reyes and stayed at Wildcat camp

In July, we had a few people over for an All American Fourth of July BBQ

    Updated Front End
Well, I updated things so they look cooler and yet somehow nerdier at the same time. Have a look around.

    New Blog Software
Ok, I don't have any new pictures, but I installed this new blog software called Cutenews. It will make updating this page easier, just like gallery - which is supposed to make me do updates more frequently. We shall see. You can also leave comments for me and the rest of the internets if you like.

This is not a blog, so don't get your hopes up. If you want a real blog, go to Dave's. It's an addictive daily read, and I'm a recurring character there.

    A Big Backlog
Some of you have noticed the lack of updates . . . so to make up for it, I added ALL of my photos for the past 7 months, plus I have new photo display software called Gallery. I installed it myself with using my mad l1nux h4ck3r sk1lls.

    Been Busy
I promise to update this thing more than once every season, but it's been a big couple of months for Cynthia and me - we bought a house in Folsom (for my socially conservative readers, she's not living there until October). I've made a virtual tour for those of you unable to stop by personally. It's a great feeling to come home to and work on a your own house every day, even though in reality the bank owns 95% of it.

I turned 26 on Saturday - now officially closer to 30 than 20. Many old friends called me on my birthday, and all we could say was "What happened?". It seems like yesterday I was an 18 year old freshman, living in the dorm and trying to figure out where the beer was, and now I'm a gainfully employed, nearly married, suburban homeowner. All that's left is to spawn 2.5 children and die. Ugh.

In other news, our friends Megan and Aaron (see wine tasting and wedding) are modern hippies and sell the soap that they make in their kitchen. It's good stuff, and they have a website at
    www.truebodysoap.com
. Though the magic of the Internet, this link, regardless of whether you click on it, will make them more popular in the search engines.

    Six Months Worth
OK, I've been lazy about posting stuff, but good feedback has inspired me to add more - everything worthwhile I took pictures of from the last six months. I got some new album software too, so hopefully things won't be so "ghetto". Warning: Captions may not be as funny the older stuff. It's hard to be creative for 200 different pictures at once.

  • I got engaged in late July and my family came to visit  from Michigan

  • Ben, Anthony and I made a trip to Lassen National Park and made it to the summit of Mt Lassen.  We also visited
Bump Ass Hell - lots of scenic pictures here.

  • 2003 Labor Day trip to Anut Margie's cabin on the Titabawasse River

  • Two weeks later Cynthia, the Glennans, and I drove down to Las Vegas to meet some friends

  • Then the Anonymous Friends had a Halloween party

  • Cynthia, Megan, Aaron, Bev and I went road tripping in a vintage Volkswagen Bus for a weekend of wine tasting in Sonoma County in early November
